The following 12 university institutions from 17 different countries worldwide were actively and jointly involved in shaping and developing MadridDesignNet:
Dalian Polytechnic University (China); College of Design & Innovation (Tongji University, China); Pelita Harapan (Indonesia); Universidad del Pacífico (Chile); Universidad Tadeo Lozano (Colombia); TEC de Monterrey (Mexico); Anáhuac (México); British Higher School of Art and Design (Russia); IKDC Lund University (Sweden); Corriente Alterna (Peru); Istituto Italiano di Cultura Londres (United Kingdom); IED Madrid, Milan, Rome, Turin, São Paulo.
Madrid City Council.
Madrid Global, the International Strategy and Action Office of the Madrid City Council attached to the Area for Studies and External Relation (part of the Deputy Mayor’s Office), has spearheaded the creation of the Madrid Ciudad Global 2010 Foundation, along with the EMVS (Empresa Municipal de la Vivienda y Suelo de Madrid S.A. Municipal Corporation for Housing and Soil), in turn attached to the Town Planning and Housing Area, the Treasury and Public Administration Area, the Economy, employment and Public Participation Area, and also the company Empresa Municipal Promoción de Madrid S.A., the aim being to coordinate all aspects relating to the construction, maintenance and management of the Madrid Pavilion as part of Madrid’s involvement in the World Expo Shanghai.
The MadridDesignNet project also enjoys the support of various departments from Madrid City Council, which have contributed their good urban practices in Madrid over recent years: Arts Area, Town Planning and Housing Area, Environment Area, Economy, employment and Public Participation Area (Innovation and Technology), and Safety and Mobility Area (Fundación Movilidad).
IED Madrid, as an international training centre and cultural institution associated with design and communication, has conceived, organised and is currently helming MadridDesignNet with the support of Madrid City Council, its institutional partner on the impressive project being staged at the Madrid Pavilion as part of the World Expo 2010 Shanghai.
